a leader in the Point of Sale (POS) printer industry.The TSP800 uses thermal technology which allows you to print any
prescription in less than a second and best of all it does not
require any maintenance: no more expensive cartridges, no clean up, no ink.
Just replace the paper after the roll is done.
Each roll contains about 450 feet of paper which lets you print
more than a few documents.
The advantages of this printer do not stop there.
Its small foot print (7" wide and 8.5" deep), allows for the printer
to stand on the counter and avoids multiple "runs" to the back printer
by office clerks.
The TSP800 uses a specific feature called "Drop-in and Print".

Star Micronics has developed a new Windows/Mac OSX and Linux Drivers

PC printer and then print that image on 112mm wide paper up to 0.15mm thick.
Its unique scalable raster driver allows you to automatically reduce
Letter Size printouts from any existing application currently using laser
or inkjet printers. You've now got yourself one serious printer.All this at up to 150mm/sec and without the need for more software!
One more thing, The TSP800 also combines the possibility to use an internal
or external paper supply through an open path on the back of it,

The Star TSP800 Rx Configuration Utility
In order to support the different types of prescription paper Star has created
the TSP800 Rx Configuration Utility. This utility allows you to use direct
thermal prescription paper with or without black mark (timing marks).
