| BY ACT OF CONGRESS Medicaid Tamper-Resistant Pad Requirement Delayed
President George W. Bush signed legislation passed by Congress (H.R. 3667)
to delay by six months the mandatory use of tamper-resistant prescription pads
in state Medicaid programs. Under the requirement, which was to go into
effect Oct. 1, all hand-written prescriptions for Medicaid beneficiaries.
Congressional members approved the measure Sept. 27 that delays implementation
of the tamper-resistant prescription pads. |
